There is no discussion or argument or personal interpretation, there is only the Code. The rigidity of the Jedi Code, may over time have consequenses for individual or groups of Jedi, just as the Way of the Buddah has consequence for its followers. But overall, the Jedi as a concept and an expression of the force continue unlike the Sith that self destruct again and again.

Everything else is different depending on which movie is being refered to because for one, the author never actually wrote out the entire code, only a brief reference to it other than the core, and also it is stated that parts of the code, particularly referring to conduct and interpolitical loyalties were changed as the movies progress. Then too, remember that the films are not even in order so the newest are actually the oldest in the complete story line.

As well, the game was released long after this council was established.
